OnePlus 10T vs Apple iPhone 14: Design
The OnePlus 10T comes with a plastic frame and a glass back. iPhone 14 combines a metal frame with a glass back. The looks of these two phones are completely different. The OnePlus 10T is curved, while the iPhone 14 has flat sides. It’s actually flat all over, and that goes for all its sides. Both phones are quite slippery, but the iPhone 14 is easier to use with one hand due to its size. It is much smaller. It’s also about 30 grams lighter, which is to be expected given its size.
From the front, the OnePlus 10T looks a little better. It has a small hole for the camera, compared to the one on the iPhone 14. It also has apparently thinner bezels. They look very different overall, even when we flip them over. The OnePlus 10T has a triple camera setup in the upper left corner, and its camera island appears to protrude from the side. The iPhone 14 has a more regular looking camera island in the upper left corner, with two cameras in it.
The OnePlus 10T has fewer curved corners, but is more curved in all respects. Both phones have flat screens. The OnePlus 10T includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, while the iPhone 14 doesn’t have one at all. It is based on advanced facial scanning, which is one of the reasons why it has such a large incision. Both phones feel premium in the hand, but note that the OnePlus 10T is much larger. This applies to its height and width, while it is 1 mm thicker in comparison. Given the opposite designs here, it’s a matter of preference, really.
OnePlus 10T and Apple iPhone 14: Presentation
The OnePlus 10T has a 6.7-inch FullHD+ (2412 x 1080) Fluid AMOLED display. This panel is flat and offers a refresh rate of 120Hz. The OnePlus 10T’s display supports HDR10+ content, and we’re looking at a 20:9 aspect ratio here. This panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, in case you were wondering.
iPhone 14 on the other hand. It includes a 6.1-inch FullHD+ (2532 x 1170) Super Retina (2532 x 1170) Super Retina XDR OLED display. This panel is also flat, although it offers a refresh rate of 60Hz. It does not offer a high refresh rate like the OnePlus 10T. The iPhone 14 display supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision content as well. You get 1,200 nits of brightness, and we’re looking at a 19.5:9 aspect ratio here. This screen is protected by a ceramic glass protection.
Both panels have a bright outdoor light, although not the brightest, not at all. The OnePlus 10T’s panel feels more fluid when scrolling thanks to its higher refresh rate, although Apple has done a great job optimizing this panel at 60Hz. Technically, the OnePlus 10T has a better panel, although both look very impressive. They offer great viewing angles, and are quite lively at the same time. Touch response is good on both phones.

The iPhone 14 is powered by the Apple A15 Bionic SoC, while it comes with 6GB of RAM and up to 512GB of NVMe storage.
Both devices shine when it comes to performance. This basically applies to all use cases. No matter if you are just browsing the internet, multitasking or editing photos, these two phones have what you want. It is very smooth in everyday performance. They shine even when it comes to games. These two devices can run just about any game available in their app stores, and they do a great job of getting them to work. The OnePlus 10T packs in a 4,800mAh battery, while the iPhone 14 includes a 3,279mAh battery. Note that iOS handles battery life quite differently, and the iPhone 14 is much smaller. However, the OnePlus 10T offers better battery life, but that doesn’t mean the iPhone 14 battery life is bad, though, not at all. The OnePlus 10T is in a league of its own.
The OnePlus 10T gave us the “Best Battery Life Smartphone 2022” award for a reason. While using the phone, we were able to get over 10 hours of screen on time from it, on a number of occasions. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and OnePlus improvements are doing wonders for this smartphone. It’s really hard to compete with, but the iPhone 14 offers really good battery life. Mileage may vary, but you should be able to get about 7 hours of screen on time, if you’re not a gamer. As mentioned earlier, your mileage may vary with each smartphone, because you use different apps, have different usage overall, different signal, etc.
What about shipping? Well, in terms of speed, the OnePlus 10T flies a lot over the iPhone 14. This phone offers 150W (125W in US) fast wired charging. However, it does not offer wireless charging. iPhone 14 supports 20W charging (unofficially), 15W MagSafe wireless charging, and 7.5W Qi wireless charging. OnePlus 10T and Apple iPhone 14: Cameras
OnePlus 10T has three cameras on the back. It includes a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The iPhone 14 has a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The ultrawide cameras on these two phones have the same field of view, by the way, at a distance of 120 degrees.
So, how do they compare? Well, the performance of the main camera on the OnePlus 10T has greatly improved since launch. It wasn’t reliable at the time, but after some updates it’s actually a really good camera. This applies to both day and night light. It’s not the best at all. iPhone 14 still delivers more realistic photos, while no phone shines in HDR conditions. This is where the Pixel 7 Pro has the advantage. Both phones tend to use illustration a lot in certain scenarios.
The iPhone 14’s ultrawide camera does a noticeably better job, maintaining the same color science as the main camera. The OnePlus 10T Macro Camera isn’t something you’ll use often. It can come in handy in perfect lighting, but other than that, you should stay away from it. When it comes to video recording, the iPhone 14 has the advantage.
You will find two speakers in both phones. One facing the bottom and the other facing forward. The speakers on both devices sound really good. It’s loud enough, and it’s also well balanced, so we can’t complain too much.
What you won’t find on either device is a 3.5mm headphone jack. You will have to use a Type-C port for wired audio connections. If you prefer to do things wirelessly, there’s always Bluetooth here that you can count on. The OnePlus 10T offers Bluetooth 5.2, while the iPhone 14 comes with Bluetooth 5.3.
