In the race of Android device manufacturers pushing Android 12 updates to eligible smartphones and tablets, Realme is running at a decent speed. When it comes to pushing updates to their devices including smartphones and tablets, Realme has properly followed its roadmap. There have been some delays at some points in the past but the brand is conscious and working on the best after sales services for its users. Today, we will guide you through Realme UI 4.0 along with the Android 13 update roadmap.
Realme has rolled out Realme UI 3.0 on top of Android 12 for most of its eligible devices. While a few smartphones are still waiting for the Realme UI 3.0 upgrade, the company has already released Realme UI 4.0 update information. Google published Android 13 beta for some smartphones a few days ago (most of them are flagships). These false betas provided us with a sneak peek at some of the features of Android 13. These new capabilities are sure to make their way to Realme UI 4.0, which is based on Android 13. So, if you own a Realme smartphone and want the next update, stay tuned!
Here are the main Android 13 features that will improve user experience with Realme UI 4.0 on eligible and future Realme devices.
With the new and improved privacy dashboard in Android 13, the Android ecosystem is developing its privacy protection. Android is progressing in building a polished, responsible and high-quality platform with its secure environment and giving more control to the end user. Some of the privacy-oriented features include functions like Photo Picker, Near Device Permission for Wi-Fi, etc.
All-new photo picker in UI
Users can now feel more secure when uploading a specific photo or video file on any online platform. This new photo picker introduces new functionality that introduces the new recommended way to request access to photos and videos. It allows apps to read selected photos and videos without permission, thus, apps cannot just randomly peek at your entire gallery. Selectable media includes both device storage and cloud storage providers such as Google Photos. Users can simply browse the media by categories and albums.
Permission of device next to Wi-Fi
This feature will allow apps to discover and connect to nearby devices over Wi-Fi without requiring permission from the location. This will protect your geographical privacy to some extent. It’s a great feature when it comes to being more privacy-oriented for people who have had to share location due to location permission requirements.
Android 13 carries the legacy of Material You. It now works in all app icons in the system. This makes the user interface more streamlined and mature.
Application language preferences
Android 13 now supports language support for apps. This allows users to set up an application-specific language according to the individual application. This means that you can now run App A in Hindi and App B in English smoothly.
Improved app compatibility
With Android 13, Google aims to make updates faster and smoother by prioritizing app compatibility with new platform releases. There will be more updates pushed through Google Play, a better experience on foldable devices, tablets, Chromebooks and more user-friendly experiences across all platforms.
