It’s important to know the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max colors for shoppers considering upgrading to one of the phones in Apple’s new lineup. Regardless of which model you choose, you will have to decide which color you want to buy.
iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max colors differ from those shown on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. iPhone 14 colors are generally more vibrant, providing a full color for the back glass. Instead, the iPhone 14 Pro models feature a frosted glass material in more muted colors.
In addition to the new color options, the iPhone 14 Pro replaces the notch with a hole called Dynamic Island. It also has an always-on display, a new 48MP main camera sensor, performance powered by A16 Bionic and amazing battery life. These are, basically, the main differences between iPhone 14 vs iPhone 14 Pro beyond the colors.
Below is all the information you’ll need on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max colors, hopefully we can help you choose the best one for you. There is no obvious “best” color (although Deep Purple is an overall color), but we’ll go into detail on how all the colors compare.
Keep in mind that some of the best iPhone 14 Pro cases and the best iPhone 14 Pro Max cases likely come in your favorite color, if not offered for the iPhone itself.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max colors
The iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 for 128GB, while the larger iPhone 14 starts at $1,099. These two models offer the same color range, which includes Space Black, Silver, Gold and Deep Purple. Apple offered similar colors for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, only replacing Sierra Blue with Deep Purple in the current generation lineup.

Many will say that Deep Purple is the best color available for the iPhone 14 Pro. This is because it is a color only offered for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and has never been used on a previous iPhone. You can call it “signature color”.
Apple has sold purple iPhones before but none have sold Deep Purple. In low light, this color may be confused with black. The purple color of it is very subtle, but it shines beautifully in the right light. Chances are you get that color, you’ll want a clear case or a color-matched case. Otherwise, the purple color may conflict with a can of a different color. That’s just our year, the preference is ultimately yours.
An option we particularly like for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is silver. Yes, it may be a little basic, but the larger camera lenses really stand out against the white glass. There’s a neat shadow effect that you’ll see around the raised camera bump on this color more than any other.
Silver is also a blank canvas when it comes to finding a good case. It matches practically any color. This might be the best color you can get if you’re keen on switching up your case often.
For those who like a little sparkle, the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max in gold is a great choice as well. The jewel-like finish stands out, but not too much. While the details shine through, the majority of the gilded gradients are very muted.
Gold doesn’t seem to get as much love as the other iPhone colors, but it does look nice on the iPhone 14 Pro. Like Deep Purple, this is a color that matches well with a clear case. But we also think it would be great paired with a pastel-colored silicone case or a warm brown leather case.
Space Black is the simplest color for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, but that’s not a bad thing. It’s essential for sure, but there’s no pressure on your smartphone to make a fashion statement. And like silver, Space Black looks great with just about any type of iPhone case you’ll find.
