How to use Samsung DeX on Galaxy Z Fold 4
If you really want to experience using Samsung DeX with Galaxy Z Fold 4 And to get the best experience, we recommend pairing a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. There are some solutions we’ve found that integrate both, which helps tremendously with portability. But of course, this isn’t an absolute necessity, and you can even use wired versions of both with the Galaxy Z Fold 4, provided you’re connected to a docking station or USB-C . hub.
1. Put the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard into pairing mode.

With everything paired up and ready to go, all you need to do from here is find the monitor you want to use, and connect USB-C cable to fold 4, and the monitor cable at the other end. However, there are plenty of USB-C docks and hubs that work well with the Z Fold 4 and any monitor you want to use.
Use Samsung DeX with Galaxy Z Fold 4 on TV or Monitor
While Samsung DeX has been around for a few years at this point, one of the relatively new features is the ability to use DeX wirelessly. With this feature, you can play a file Samsung TV or Miracast-compatible Smart TVs in a DeX display. Then, you’ll use the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s display as a touchpad and numeric keypad, but you’ll have a better experience if you pair it with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
Before you can proceed, you will first need to make sure that the TV you are trying to connect to is in Screen Mirroring mode. These steps will vary depending on the TV model you are using. If you own (or plan to receive) a recently released Samsung version smart screensYou’ll be able to use it as a wireless DeX display with the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
1. Open your Galaxy Z Fold 4 on the home screen.

After a few moments, your TV will start offering a desktop-like experience, all supported by the Galaxy Z Fold 4. If not, you can use the Z Fold 4 as a touchpad, simply by swiping down to reveal the notification shade and tapping on the “Use phone as a touchpad” notification.
Now, you’ll basically be able to enjoy a computer, with your TV as a monitor, without dealing with a bunch of wires. And if you own an S Pen, you can also use it while your phone is in DeX mode instead of just using your finger.
There is still room for improvement
Once DeX finishes loading, you will see another desktop interface appear inside the Samsung DeX app for Windows. It will also be able to use the same keyboard and mouse that are connected or paired to your computer. The only limitation here is that you will be limited to running “up to 5 apps from your mobile device on your computer.”
