There are two ways to share your phone’s screen on a Samsung TV: screen mirroring and casting. The first will display exactly what’s on your phone on the TV, be it a video, photo, settings menu, etc., but it requires a special feature called Smart View, which isn’t available on every device. The second involves sending music or video from certain apps to your Samsung Smart TV. Here’s how to cast to your Samsung TV, depending on your device.

This feature allows you to mirror what appears on your phone screen to a larger screen, such as a Smart TV. Basically, when you do something on your phone, like switch between different apps, that will also be displayed on the big screen.

On Galaxy devices, the screen mirroring feature is called Smart View. Smart View is not an app, but a settings feature. You can find it by swiping down twice on your screen, and you may have to swipe left to see the icon. Click on that and then select your Samsung Tv from the list of available devices.

You should now see your phone screen on your Samsung TV. Of course, the frame will be in portrait mode initially, but if you start watching a video, it should switch to landscape.

If the Smart View icon does not appear, try swiping to the left. If it still doesn’t show up, your device may not be compatible or need to be Added to the board.

For iPhones, the screen mirroring feature is called broadcastwhich does the same thing – mirroring photos, videos, or other media. Using AirPlay Similar to using Smart View but slightly different from it. Swipe down the screen, then select Broadcasting from the quick settings.
