4 useful iPhone tips and tricks to make your life easier

No matter if you are a new or old user, it is very easy to operate iPhone. In fact, navigating and getting used to iOS is so simple that even your grandparents will pick up and learn the basic functions of the iPhone with ease. But even though your iPhone is easy to use, there are a few things you should know in order to get the most out of your new system. So, whether you have bought an iPhone 14 Pro or an iPhone SE, here are some tips and tricks to keep in mind.

Clean your home screen

Nobody likes the messy home screen on the iPhone but there is a tool called App Library that automatically organizes your apps into categorized groups to make them easier to find. The idea is that you can find apps with just a few swipes and clicks. If you have a lot of home pages full of apps, then the App Library is for you. You can find the App Library by swiping on the last home screen – just keep scrolling to the left and you’ll find it. You don’t have to organize this screen. All of your apps will appear in small four-square boxes. If there’s an app in the app library that isn’t on your home screen, it’s easy to add it. Simply tap and hold on the app icon until you see the context menu, and select ‘Add to Home Screen’.

Prevent apps from tracking your location

Most of the third-party apps that you download to your iPhone track your behavior and preferences for marketing purposes. In fact, some apps have access to your personal information, but fortunately, your iPhone has the ability to turn these apps off to see where you are. All you have to do is open Settings on your iPhone and tap on Privacy and then select Location Services. You can turn off location services completely by toggling the switch at the top of the screen. However, this will also disable the functionality of useful features such as the Weather and Maps app. What you can do is see a list of individual apps that can track you. Switch anything you don’t want to share your location with.

Turn off mobile data when not in use

If you’re not on an unlimited mobile plan, or you’re not always in range of a Wi-Fi connection, it’s easy to bypass your monthly mobile data allowance. This is why it is recommended to turn off mobile data when not in use. Easy setup in iOS lets you quickly turn mobile data on or off. On your iPhone, go to Settings and tap cellular to open a file cellular data existing. On the Mobile Network screen, tap cellular data Toggle button to turn it on or off.

Take a screenshot on your iPhone

Do you want to keep a copy of your train ticket or do you have another copy of your electricity bill? Taking a screenshot is an easy way to save an extra copy of important documents. In fact, it is easy to take a screenshot on your iPhone. Taking a screenshot on your iPhone depends on whether or not you have a home button. If you have the latest iPhones with Face ID, all you have to do is hold down the side button on the right of the screen and the volume up button at the same time to take a screenshot. For all older models that still have a physical button on the front of the phone (iPhone 8 and above), you need to hold the home button and hold down the side button. You will see a “blink” on the screen when you take a screenshot. The screenshot will then appear in your Camera Roll and in your Screenshots album.
